About the 9-1-1 response

Have you ever wondered what happens when you call 9-1-1 in Simsbury?

The Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance Association staffs two ALS (Advanced Life Support) ambulances each day. The primary ambulance is available 24/7, 365, while our secondary ambulance is available 7am-7pm 365 days a year.

When multiple emergencies occur simultaneously, exceeding the resources of any one agency, our mutual aid partners in Canton and Granby may assist in responding to emergencies. When our mutual aid partners require assistance, Simsbury EMS will respond in kind. Mutual Aid agreements help to stabilize emergency response in the area, and ensure timely access to emergency services, when needed.
